At Building Kidz, we’re not just another preschool or daycare franchise. We have a dedicated mission and a clear vision. We want to make kids happy, keep them safe and healthy, and teach them everything they need to know in their preschool years. But we also want to build their confidence and make them fall in love with learning. We’ve found the best way to do that is to center early childhood education around the performing arts. This is our whole child creative philosophy.
Our mission is to integrate the arts into pre-kindergarten age education. To accomplish this, we focus on six key areas of early childhood development:
Since our founding as a preschool business, we’ve expanded our philosophy to help older children by offering age-appropriate after-school learning with the same key focus points.
We named our successful and profitable preschool franchise “Building Kidz” because we want to convey to parents and families how future-oriented we are. We provide a safe space where kids can have fun. But parents can find this at many daycare centers; where can they find a daycare or preschool that will really set their child up for future success?
It can be helpful to think of early childhood development as a building project. With a construction project, using the right tools and materials is key. For our mission to succeed, we have to give kids the right building blocks on which to base their future education. When creating our curricula, we focus on how we can help kids with three key attributes.
Confidence is key to so many things in life and it’s something that just about all of us struggle with from time to time. We can’t make a three-year-old confident in everything they’ll do for the rest of their life, but maybe we can make them confident enough to try anything they want to. We find the performing arts are a great tool for this. Getting kids comfortable with, and interested in, performing in front of their peers and teachers can give them the confidence they need to learn and try new things.
We commit ourselves to enriching the lives and education of children all over the U.S. But what are preschool aged kids committed to? Well, usually just doing whatever they want. But what if that thing they want is difficult to do or achieve? We strive to instill a sense of commitment in our students. A fear of failure is something that holds many of us back, but the only real failure is not trying at all. We encourage kids to go for their goals, and if they come up short the first time, it’s no big deal. You can’t build an Ivy League school grad in preschool, but you can build a commitment to learning that takes a kid to an Ivy League school in the future.
A good character is as key to success as anything else in life. When a child graduates from a Building Kidz program, that child will have a well-rounded character with an education in many different topics. Spelling and arithmetic are key, but when a child is social, confident, and eager to learn, that child can take on any challenge in the future.
